COURSE CONTENT

The objective of this blended learning training course is to provide a comprehensive overview of:

  • How to improve fleet availability, reliability and safety
  • How to reduce maintenance costs
  • Your responsibilities & accountability for maintenance performed by third parties
  • What new skills, techniques and approaches are required as performance becomes a reality in CAMM (Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Management ) oversight.

The course content is based on the international ICAO requirements. The course can help you to develop a implement & improve Continuing Airworthiness Maintenance Management programs, adding value to your operation and optimizing your aircraft maintenance budget while streamlining any maintenance that you have outsourced to third parties.

PREREQUISITES

Participants can only register for part 2 of the course, the livestream webinars, upon successful completion of the 4 online modules and meeting all part 1 certification criteria.

VENUE

Due to the Corona pandemic travel restrictions, the 2021 edition will be an online learning course. Four online on-demand modules will have to be completed and an oral test needs to be taken and passed before candidates can attend the two livestreamed webinars. The 2022 edition is foreseen to be a blended course with on-demand modules followed by two days of classroom based training at the ASPC-Rwanda in Kigali, housed at the College of Science and Technology of the University of Rwanda.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? 

This short course is designed for experienced personnel from all parts of the aviation industry. It will be of particular value to manufacturers, suppliers, operators, MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) staff and civil aviation authorities who are concerned with the continuing airworthiness and/or certification of aircraft and their systems.

YOUR INSTRUCTORS 

Your main facilitators for this course are Jan Dirk Steenbergen and Alireza Ahmadi.

Jan Dirk Steenbergen spent the first 24 years of his career as an aeronautical and flight engineer with various industry parties, culminating in his position as deputy technical director at a fixed wing & helicopter operator. From there he joined the Civil Aviation Authority of the Netherlands where his positions included director of airworthiness.

Originally qualified as an Aircraft Airframe and Power Plant engineer, Professor Alireza Ahmadi’s resume includes positions of production planning & control manager and line maintenance duty manager. He now works as Professor in Operation and Maintenance Engineering at a Swedish technical University and as an IATA instructor.

Registration fee

Due to extensive sponsoring by the Netherlands Ministry of Infrastructure & Water Management, aircraft manufacturer ATR and Willis Towers Watson for the launch (online) edition of this course, the course fee can be kept at US$ 49 only for African professionals. This includes a uniquely numbered and named certificate of completion (upon meeting all certification requirements).

4. Courses may be postponed should there be insufficient delegate bookings
5. Payments made for postponed courses will be reimbursed in full
