Runway safety promotion – Focus Sessions

We’ll be talking all about runway safety and change management for safety promotion. This Focus Session is run in co-operation with the Aviation Safety Alliance for Africa. Only 30% of all African airports that should have runway safety teams according to ICAO, have them. But there already seems to be a lot of information available on runway safety.

We’ll be looking at:
– Why is change in runway safety not happening at the rate we would like it to happen?
– What low cost and realistic ways are there to increase the number and functioning of the runway safety teams at African airports?
– And many other questions.
