Let’s talk
We are keen to cultivate our conversations with you – the safety champions out there. We work hard in those conversations to understand your needs. That is the goal of the Foundation’s marketing efforts. After all, we are a non-profit organisation and non-profit organisations exist to change people. But that means we have to learn which path you want to take to make that change.
We have been doing that for the past 25 years. You kindly complete exit surveys at the end of our courses and events. We have consulted you in the need analysis for our first AviAssist Safety Promotion Centre – Rwanda. We talk to you at events. And you talk to us.
One of the things you told us was that you are keen to pay for your participation in our courses and events with a payment platform that works for African professionals. An increasing number of you want to pay in a simple, fast, convenient and affordable way. This especially now that we also offer online training opportunities. That is next to the classroom courses that we will restart in October in Rwanda.
So we have listened. We have embraced a payment platform by Africans for Africans more about that in the Foundation news section of this edition of SafetyFocus.
But we are committed to always improve.
We feed our safety priorities with the excellent work of IATA in its annual safety report. We feed our safety priorities with the excellent work of the Regional Aviation Safety Group.
But we want to go one level deeper and get to the grassroots level. Because to improve safety, we have to change attitudes – and attitudes brings us to you and to future aviation professionals. We love to know what it is YOU think our industry should do to better promote safety in Africa.
We aim to launch our annual safety promotion needs analysis this year for that reason. And we hope you will consider completing that online needs analysis so we can better understand your safety needs and how we can serve them with our growing ‘army ‘of professional volunteers.
Those of you who know me, know that I am a man of many words.
But I do also like to listen. So I’ll keep it short this time.
We have been leading, building and supporting safety promotion in Africa for over 25 years – but only because we listen……to you.
So afford us an opportunity to listen again soon. To you. How about at Aviation Africa 2021 in Kigali on 14 & 15 October? Come and talk to us so we can learn how we can better assist you in boosting safety at our signature quality and affordable rates.
And if you can’t make it there, find us on all the regular channels.
Let’s talk.
