Leadership is a quality that is easy to recognize but difficult to define. Leadership remains one of the most critical and relevant aspects of the organizational context. Well honed leadership skills will help (future) leaders lead the direction of an organisation rather than simply managing existing operations. However, there has been little formalization to nurture up-to-date leadership at the middle and top management levels in the aviation industry to transfer those skills from existing leaders to emerging leaders.
Very few professional development programs are available to equip (future) leaders and safety champions with the communication, administrative and organisational skills to improve the effective implementation of ICAO SARPs. This course changes that for Africa.
