ICAO audits in the AFI region have found quite some deficiencies in the area of fire fighting minimum training requirements (incl. live fire drills) with recurrent training in the region taking place at a much lower interval than required.

COURSE CONTENT

This 5-day, intensive training assists in the implementation of standards as detailed in ICAO Annex 14 and most national regulations. The program is a combined ab initio & refresher training for a maximum of 15 Aicraft Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF) staff members on best practices and standard operating procedures and
regulations.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Two evening exercises will also provide an independent review of the response times at your airport. A baseline response time will be established during the first evening exercise. The second evening drill will serve as a performance improvement survey point.

PREREQUISITES

The training will be delivered in a limited series of lectures in combination with a wide variety of practical demonstrations, table top exercises and other exercises. Participating firemen will be working in teams and a competition will be held throughout the week to ensure eagerness and
engagement to the fullest. There is no mobile course like this available anywhere in Africa.

COURSE FACILITIES

Please note that this course requires extra facilities including an airside
based classroom (can be in the fire station). It does not require a
sophisticated aircraft mock up but does require
a fire ground and other facilities. A list of required facilities is available
